Four Arrested After Meth, Cocaine Found on Schuyler Co. Traffic Stop

Four people are being held in Schuyler County Jail after a traffic stop on State Route 13 in Cayuta resulted in the seizure of approximately 15.5 ounces of methamphetamine, 9 ounces of cannabis, cocaine, and other drug paraphernalia along with forged instruments.

23-year-old Rayquan Brooks, of Newfield, and 19-year-old Mariah Scutt-Cornell, of Brooktondale, were each charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance.

19-year-old Kanye Rouse, of Elmira, was also charged with felony criminal possession and impersonation. Police say he also had four outstanding warrants, two of which were violent felonies.

18-year-old Zane Kotmel, of Ithaca, was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and of a forged instrument, along with several misdemeanor drugs charges and driving while ability impaired by drugs.

The arrests all stemmed from a traffic stop.
