On Tuesday, Ontario County Deputies arrested a Farmington woman following a routine traffic stop on a public highway.
Karina Prusakowski, 30, was taken into custody after deputies observed signs of impairment. According to investigators, Prusakowski was allegedly operating the vehicle while her ability was impaired by drugs. A further search of the vehicle revealed she had less than one gram of fentanyl and nine Xanax pills without a prescription.
Prusakowski is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, which is a felony.
Following her arrest, Prusakowski was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
