An Ithaca man has been arrested following the execution of a search warrant.

On June 20th, the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office Specialized Response Team executed a search warrant on Omar Punter at the request of the Ithaca Police Department. The 41-year-old was located on Cypress Court in Ithaca when the search warrant for weapons and narcotics trafficking was executed.

A residence on Cypress Court, as well as another residence in the 400 block of North Geneva Street in the city of Ithaca, were also searched in conjunction with the search warrant.

During the execution of the search warrant, Punter was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Punter was sent to Tompkins County Jail without bail following his arraignment.
