An Elmira woman had to be cut out of her car by firefighters after being involved in a two-car accident Monday afternoon in Ontario County.

Suzanne Morrissey had stopped at the intersection of State Routes 5 and 20 and Gates Road in Seneca when she pulled into the path of a car driven by a 17-year-old Arlin Newswanger from Rushville. Morrissey suffered a neck injury and had lost all feeling in her left side. She was ticketed by the police for failure to yield.

The other driver was not injured.

Police say both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
