Driver Charged in Wayne County After Attempting to Prevent Car From Being Towed

Police Blotter

On Monday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Penfield man following a confrontation during a traffic stop.

Timothy Jenkins, 18, was taken into custody on a charge of Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree. The arrest stems from an incident where Jenkins allegedly attempted to physically prevent deputies from conducting a vehicle search and towing the vehicle he was operating.

Jenkins was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was later taken to the Wayne County Jail and subsequently released on an appearance ticket.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
