A Chemung County woman is facing charges in neighboring Schuyler County where she allegedly led police on a pursuit.
The pursuit involving Toni Morton, of Erin, originated on Varney Hill Road in the town of Cayuta. New York State Police and the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office in the pursuit.
Morton was eventually charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, as well as several traffic and vehicle law violations.
Following arraignment, Morton was sent to Schuyler County Jail.
