The investigation into a personal injury acciudent on State Route 14A in the town of Reading resulted in the arrest of a Chemung County man.
According to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, Brian Mitchell allegedly left the scene of the accident. The 31-year-old was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
Mitchell will appear in Reading Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
