A Wayne County man who led police on a brief pursuit that was called off was arrested 12 hours later after being involved in a two-car accident in Seneca County.
State Police said Nathan Issacson failed to pull over for them in Galen after they were called to the scene of a physical disturbance on Sunday morning allegedly involving the 34-year-old Clyde man. A high-speed pursuit ensued before being called off due to public safety concerns.
Troopers say Isaacson was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed Sunday night when he failed to stop at the intersection of Whiskey Hill Road and State Route 96 in Waterloo resulting in a collision with a car driven by Cindy Bourne, of Geneva.
After being released from Strong Hospital for minor injuries, Issacon was charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd (A Misdemeanor), Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd (A Misdemeanor), two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Seventh Degree (A Misdemeanor), Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia (A Misdemeanor), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Possession of a Controlled Substance in Non-Original Container (Violation), and numerous traffic infractions. He was released on appearance tickets for Waterloo Town Court.
Bourne was checked over at the scene by EMS and did not require medical transport.
