There were 14 suspected overdoses in Cayuga County last month.

That’s according to data from the county which means September saw a slight uptick from August which only saw ten. In both cases, there were no fatal overdoses.

Of those 14 suspected overdoses, 76.9% occurred in the City of Auburn and 30.8% are believed to have been caused by opioids.

In total, that makes 125 overdoses so far this year with four being fatal. By this same time last year, Cayuga County had seen 180 nonfatal and seven fatal overdoses.
