A Cayuga County man has been charged with killing a dog.
An investigation was launched by the Sheriff’s Office back in November into the suspicious death of a dog found in Springport. That investigation determined Brandon Carlson intentionally contributed to the death of the dog through physical abuse.
Carlson was charged on Wednesday with aggravated cruelty to an animal and tampering with physical evidence, both felonies.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this investigation by the Cornell University Animal Hospital.
