The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Canandaigua woman following a reported case of vandalism at a local business.

Deputies were called to Laguna Grande on County Road 50 around 3 p.m. Thursday for a report of criminal mischief. Investigators say Anna Champion threw rocks at a window, causing more than $250 in damage. Champion was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and taken to the Ontario County Jail.

She’s scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
