A Canandaigua man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after an investigation into fraudulent credit card use.
Police say 27-year-old Brian Ogdenski was arrested on Tuesday and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, a felony, and Identity Theft in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor.
The charges stem from a report of fraudulent purchases made with a stolen credit card at the Tops supermarket in Canandaigua. Investigators say Ogdenski admitted to possessing the card and using it to make purchases.
He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
