A traffic stop Saturday afternoon in the town of Gorham resulted in the arrest of a Canandaigua man.
Following an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Alexander Bumpus was charged with DWI as a felony, three counts of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without an ignition Interlock Device.
The 45-year-old Bumpus was being held at the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment on the charges. He will appear in Gorham Town Court at a later date
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
