A Canandaigua man was taken into custody Friday morning on a bench warrant issued by the Canandaigua City Court.
Police arrested 55-year-old Timothy Gavette at his home around 10 on Friday morning. Authorities said the warrant was issued after Gavette allegedly violated the terms of his probation.
He was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
