A Canandaigua man has an appearance in Hopewell Town Court following his arrest at the Ontario County Department of Social Services.

61-year-old Edward Pollot was arrested after he allegedly became aggressive with DSS workers and threatened to fight with security and law enforcement in the building. According to investigators, Pollot created such a disturbance that the waiting area had to be vacated.

Pollot was charged with two counts of harassment and was being held at the Ontario County Jail for arraignment

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
