The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Brighton woman was arrested Thursday following a shoplifting incident at Target in the Town of Victor.

Authorities say 25-year-old Jordyn James allegedly passed all points of sale without paying for $106.20 worth of merchandise.

James was taken into custody and is scheduled to return to Town of Victor Court at a later date to answer the charge.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
