A Bluff Point woman has an upcoming court date after she allegedly led authorities in Yates County on a vehicle pursuit.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, Jade Smith was found driving at a high rate of speed on State Route 14A. As deputies attempted to pull her over, she reportedly reached speeds over double the posted speed limit. The 26-year-old eventually stopped on Ferguson Corners Road in Benton and was taken into custody.
In addition to a number of vehicle and traffic tickets, including four counts of speeding, Smith was charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer.
