Police Blotter

On Monday, members of the Village of Bath Police Department located and arrested a local woman on an outstanding warrant.

Elizabeth Northrup, 37, of Bath, was taken into custody following an investigation into an incident that occurred in December 2025. According to authorities, Northrup had previously disclosed to officers that she had kicked and damaged property at the Steuben County Office Building. Following a subsequent investigation that located a damaged door at the facility, an arrest warrant was issued through Bath Village Court.

Northrup is charged with one count of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a class E felony. She was processed on the warrant and transported to the Steuben County Jail for centralized arraignment, where she remains held with the opportunity for bail.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
