The Bath Police Department reports the arrest of a Bath resident on a felony charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

In August, officers received a complaint of a domestic dispute that occurred in May in the village. While investigating the domestic dispute, a video was obtained of the incident, where it appeared that a rifle was displayed and pointed towards the victim. An arrest warrant was issued, and 38-year-old Amanda Ayers was arrested in late September. Ayers was also charged with misdemeanor menacing.

Following the arraignment, Ayers was released on an appearance ticket.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
