A Steuben County man has been arrested for allegedly holding a person against their will and forcibly raping them.
The incident involving 47-year-old Dale Scofield happened at a Town of Bath residence.
Following his arraignment on felony charges, Scofield was sent to Steuben County Jail in lieu of bail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
