A convicted sex offender from Auburn will spend the next 15 years in prison.
According to the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office, 52-year-old William Roth was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty in April to his crimes. A four-year investigation started in 2019 found he had been sexually assaulting a female child for three years, was in possession of child porn, and was using an email address not registered with the DCJS.
After prison, Roth will be subject to 15 years of post-release supervision.
