An Auburn man faces a felony charge after police responded to the intersection of Miller and Grant Avenue roads in Sennett at around 9:30 Sunday morning for an unresponsive driver slumped over the steering wheel of his car.

Police were able to identify the driver as Gregory Ostrander and an investigation determined the 36-year-old was impaired.

Ostrander was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both felonies. Police say the charges were elevated to a felony status due to Ostrander’s previous conviction on similar charges.

Ostrander was released on appearance tickets for Sennett Town Court.
