An Auburn man was taken into police custody early Thursday morning after officers were called to an apartment at Oak Creek Townhomes for a possible sex offense investigation.

While conducting the investigation, Auburn Police made contact with Jeffrey Raker, who was found to have a bench warrant out of Pennsylvania for the manufacture and distribution of drugs. The charge is a felony, and Pennsylvania was willing to extradite Raker.

The 60-year-old was brought to the Cayuga County Jail and was being held as a Fugitive from Justice.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
