An Auburn man is facing charges after an incident earlier this month at Emerson Park.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, Mykel Canales is accused of arguing with a security staff member at the park around 8:11p on June 4. During the argument, Canales allegedly took the officer’s sunglasses from his face and threw them into the water. He then attempted to start a physical altercation with the officer.
Canales was arrested by Auburn Police after he left the park. He was charged with Criminal Tampering and Menacing and released on appearance tickets for Fleming Town Cout on June 25.
