Another person has received their punishment for their role in a Yates County sex trafficking case. Wayne Niles was sentenced in Yates County Court to two-and-a-half years in prison for attempted rape.

The Elmira man was one of 18 people arrested for their involvement in a child sex trafficking ring.

More than a dozen people arrested have pleaded guilty to their charges, including Andrew Daugherty, of Dundee, who was found to be responsible for the sexual abuse of a local teen over a five-year period. Daugherty was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison earlier this summer.
