The following information was released by the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office:

On December 30, 2022, the New York State Parole Board, again, denied the parole application of Joshua Horein. Horein is serving a life sentence for the murder of Amber Brockway in an abandoned building in the Village of Watkins Glen on August 5, 2000. Amber Brockway was 15 years old when Horein intentionally took her life.
