11 suspected overdoses occurred in Cayuga County last month, according to the county’s overdose dashboard.
At the time of the reporting, none were fatal and opioids were not believed to have been involved in a single case meaning Narcan was not administered.
81.8% of August’s suspected overdoses occurred within the City of Auburn.
So far this year, Cayuga County has seen 102 suspected overdoses, five of which were fatal. During the same timeframe in 2023, the county had seen 115 suspected overdoses, including five fatalities.
