GENEVA – William H. Kerr, “B.K.”, age 61, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in hospice at Living Center North in Geneva, NY.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main Street, Geneva, NY. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Ontario-Yates Hospice or to the Hobart College Lacrosse Program.
Bill was born in Geneva on March 24, 1964, to the late Albert and Concetta Pollino Kerr. He was the youngest of five children. Bill attended Geneva schools and was an all-around athlete playing baseball, basketball, football, and lacrosse. After high school, Bill attended Hobart College and played on four championship lacrosse teams from 1983-1986. He attended Alfred University where he earned a Master’s Degree.
Bill played professional lacrosse in the MLL, first for the Buffalo Bandits and then for the Rochester Knighthawks. He worked as a guidance counselor and later owned and operated Diamond Beverage. Bill also enjoyed playing golf and poker.
He is survived by his sister, Deborah (John) Corcoran; his brothers, Michael Kerr, John (Monica) Kerr, and James (Linda) Kerr; and thirteen nieces and nephews.
