Sherri A. (Benoit) Marcuccilli, of Lyons, passed away on Thursday, January 8th, 2026, after a year-long battle with cancer. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, January 15th, from 4 – 7 PM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16th, at 10 AM at the funeral home.

Sherri was born in Waterloo, NY, and grew up in Seneca Falls. She was a 1976 graduate of Mynderse Academy. At the age of 19, she married former 1972 Mynderse Academy graduate, Michael Marcuccilli, on May 7th, 1977, at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca Falls. Over the next several years, Sherri and Mike had 3 children and were blessed by a growing family.

Most of all, Sherri was known for her devotion to family; she also had a strong work ethic. She worked at Club 86 in Geneva, Planned Parenthood in Geneva, and the Girl Scout Council in Waterloo. She and her husband operated Castaways Restaurant in Geneva for a number of years, and Sherri also ran a successful catering business called Bon Appetit.

Sherri was a woman who possessed many skills and talents. She enjoyed cooking; she could often be found cooking and baking her family's favorite foods, or you could find her in her crafting room working on some of the many crafts she enjoyed making as gifts for others. Sherri also enjoyed a nice glass of wine or some Grand Marnier to relax.

Sherri leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Michael; son, Tony Marcuccilli; daughters, Rachael Marcuccilli and Angela (Paul Jr.) Landschoot; six beloved grandchildren, Anthony, Isabella, Booker, Theo, Cooper, Axel; brother, Paul (Dawn) Johnson; sisters, Dolores (Harold) Harris, Linda (Terry) Scowcroft, and Candice (Bill) Westerberg; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sherri was predeceased by her brother, William Johnson.
