Julia L. (Hornbeck) Deal
Julia Deal, 66, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, unexpectedly.
Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Julia was born November 2, 1959 in Geneva, the daughter of the late Morris and Bonnie (Bennett) Hornbeck. She graduated in 1978 from Geneva High School. She was a housekeeper for Hobart William Smith College until her retirement in December of 2025.
You may have also seen her at the Geneva Movie Plex while it was open. She enjoyed movies, camping, and bowling.
Julia is survived by her husband and soulmate of 38 years, Bill; brothers William (Sharon), David, and Steven (RJ) Hornbeck; her fur babies LuLu the cat, Zeus the dog; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Julia was a diehard Boston Red Sox fan who brightened up any room she walked into with her million-dollar smile and warm, engaging personality. She, along with her husband Bill, did everything together and were so in love and connected to each other.
