Joseph P. Hadden

Joseph P. Hadden, 69, was born on January 25, 1957, and passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of those who knew him best. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his strong work ethic, and the way he could make others laugh with ease. Joseph was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, carrying that honor with him throughout his life. He was a devoted sports fan who rarely missed a game, having played several sports himself throughout high school and later in adult leagues. He followed politics with genuine passion and found comfort in the old westerns he loved so much. He had a soft spot for fellow veterans and never hesitated to donate to those in need, always wanting to give back. Above all, family meant everything to him. His children were the center of his world, and he loved his wife, Vickie, fiercely and without hesitation.

He is survived by his wife of almost 47 years, Vickie; his son, Ryan; and his daughter, Lisa, and her husband, Michael, with whom he shared countless experiences and memories. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kali (AJ), Ivory, Cameron, Sarah, Reagan, Ella, Rachel, Alex, Gabrielle, Joseph, Gianna, Amelia, Michael, Violet, and Lily, each of whom brought him immense joy. His loyal dog, Lulu, was always by his side and held a special place in his heart.

He is further survived by his siblings Thomas Hadden and his spouse David; David Hadden, whose wife Brenda preceded him in death; and his sister Mary Beth Beniamino, whose husband Tom is also deceased. He is remembered with affection by his step-siblings Michelle, Robin, Joy, Mark, and Allan, and by Holly, who preceded him in death. He was cherished as well by his in-laws: Jesse Lee and his wife Joy, Benjamin Lee and his partner Patty, and Mary Ann Betts and her spouse Dennis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

He was predeceased by his mother, Ruth Tauterouff, and his father, Allan Tauterouff. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 11th, from 4–7 PM at Baris Funeral Home in Clyde, NY. The funeral will take place Thursday, February 12th at 11 AM at St. John's the Evangelist in Clyde, NY. Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Clyde, NY, with a military send-off honoring his service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Wayne County Humane Society, or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. www.barisfuneralhome.com
