John Henry Bruckman, age 72, of Elmira, NY, and formerly of Buffalo, NY, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Bethany Manor in Horseheads, NY. John was born on October 13, 1952, in Lackawanna, NY, to the late Robert and Martha (Gohn) Bruckman. John is predeceased by his parents and a sister, Sandy Eaton. He is survived by his children, Barbara (Brad) Condon, Tina Bruckman, and Kathryn (Nicholas) Kniceley; brothers, Robert Bruckman, Ronald (Christine) Bruckman, James Bruckman, Mark (Maria) Bruckman, and Michael Bruckman; sister, Debbie (John) Bugman; brother-in-law, Daniel Eaton; grandchildren, Michael Condon and Dawson (Leilani) Bruckman; and great-grandchild, Lakelyn Grace Condon.
John was a graduate of McKinley High School in Buffalo, NY. He was employed by Great Lakes Associates, Inc. as a grain shoveler from 1972 to 1994, before transitioning to the Tonawanda Coke Corporation, where he served as a wharfman and quench care operator from 1995 to 2016. John's pastimes included golfing, bowling, playing pool, and swimming, along with time spent camping with his children. He was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He was a member of St. Ambrose Church, Buffalo, NY. Services will be announced at a later date.
