James Alan Bauman, 71, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Schuyler Hospital with his daughters by his side. He was born in Montour Falls, NY, on September 15, 1953, the son of Robert and Anne (Pike) Bauman, and graduated from Watkins Glen High School with the Class of 1972. Jim was a Cheese Maker at Kraft Dairy for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Watkins Glen and a member of the Mecklenburg Fire Department.
Jim enjoyed playing golf, drawing, hunting, and attending sporting events. He was a talented woodworker. He also wrote poems, publishing his own Book of Poems.
He is survived by his daughters, Julie and Jaime, and granddaughter, Ciera. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Gary Bauman.
Jim's daughters would like to extend their thanks to the nurses and staff on Med Surg at Schuyler Hospital for the care Jim received during his illness and passing.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 11:00 am at Union Cemetery of Hector, State Route 79, Burdett, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Schuyler Health Foundation.
