David L. Dean

David L. Dean, age 75, of Alpine, NY, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. David was born on May 29, 1950, in Warren, OH, to the late Elbert L. and Beatrice (Combs) Dean. David is predeceased by his loving wife of 35 years, Christina M. Dean, and a sister, Belinda R. Granier. He is survived by his children, Christopher Dean (Sarah), Casey Dean (Jackie), Kelli Buchholz (Brian), Jon Wood (Colleen), Jamie Clarke, and George Wood (Diana); his siblings, Paula Briggs (Tom), Debra Elliott (Ronny), Sandra Holleran (Gene), and Elbert Dean (Gloria); grandchildren, Leo, Sammy, Hailey, Natalie, Kayla, Tyler, Kelli, Matthew, Mara, Jon, Georgia, and Isla; his companion, Sherry; along with many nieces and nephews. David was extremely dedicated to his work, starting at the age of 16. He managed Ithaca Plumbing for over 50 years and continued faithfully until his passing. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, going to the casino, enjoying family gatherings, cooking BBQ, and fishing. He was known to be very dependable and honest, as well as a kind and selfless man who put everyone before himself. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
