Carolyn M. Seymour, age 78, of Montour Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Carolyn was born on March 12, 1947, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Charles and Cleo (Bird) Lovell. Carolyn is predeceased by her husband Frank Seymour in 1993. She is survived by her companion of 30 years, Charles Crane; her children, Melissa (Ray) Reynolds, Robin (Tom) Mayhood, Rodney Seymour, Jennifer (Justin) Seymour, and James (Crystal) Seymour; a brother, Randy (Sally) Lovell; a sister, Shirley (Jim) Hoxie; grandchildren, Kristi, Amanda, Danielle, Michael, Shawn, Joshua, Jon, Amielia, Aaron, Shayna, JC, Bradley, Sierra, and Matthew; 17 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, and special Friday friends.
Carolyn was a Sanitary Engineer for Odessa-Montour Central School District for 30 years and worked for Fulkerson Winery for several years following her service to the school. She enjoyed flowers, her time spent with family and friends at picnics and at the holidays, arts and crafts, was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She loved life, and those around her could see this in the way that she lived it.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY. Carolyn's funeral service will then begin at 1 p.m., with a burial service to follow at Highland Cemetery.
