My Wonderful Lord ~ By Walter S. Stoll

I'm thankful for JESUS who died on the cross for my sins, who rose from the grave for my justification, who sits at the right hand of God making intercession for me day after day. I'm thankful that I can talk to Him in prayer, that I can read His Word each day, that I can go to church and hear more about Him. I'm thankful to be a child of the King, thankful for the simplicity of the Gospel, thankful for His great faithfulness.

I'm thankful for JESUS who lives within my heart, who loves me, who cares about me, who watches over me day after day, who constantly supplies my needs, who guides me, who forgives me when I sin, who brings peace to my heart in time of tribulation, who gives me rest when I'm weary, who strengthens me when I'm weak, who gives comfort in time of discouragement and depression, who gives light when the way seems dark, who holds my hand and helps me through this life, who is always with me and who has promised never to leave nor forsake me, who stands by me in life's storms, who takes all my burdens and trials and problems and works them all out for my good.

I'm thankful to JESUS who "crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies," who "satisfieth thy mouth with good things," who "is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think," who is "an ever-present help in times of trouble." I'm thankful for such a friend as JESUS who "sticketh closer than a brother." I'm thankful for JESUS who is preparing me a mansion above, who is coming again soon to take me home to be with Him. I'm thankful for JESUS, for without Him I could do nothing; without Him life would be hopeless. But with JESUS, thank God, I'm saved.

Oh, there's more, much more. But I shall close with the words of David: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name." Hallelujah, what a Savior!
