Town of Geneva Receives Funding to Improve Soil Quality

Over 9.4-million dollars is coming from the US Department of Agriculture to support efforts to reduce and divert food waste from landfills.

The Town of Geneva will use its share of the money to take food waste and biodegradables from the waste stream and generate nutrient rich compost and improve soil quality.

The funding for these types of programming comes from the American Rescue Plan
