Congratulations to Penn Yan Academy senior James J.D. Tette, who on Saturday became the Mustangs’ first state champion in cross country. Tette outpaced 131 of the best runners in all of New York State in his 5K crossing the finish line at 16:13. Back in September, the multiple-time sectional champion told WFLR’s Lucas Day a state championship was one of his goals this season
