Penn Yan’s JD Tette’s incredible high school running career came to an end Saturday at the New Balance Nationals in Philadelphia.
In the 2,000 meter steeplechase, Tette finished 21st out of 46.
A 15-time Section Five champion, J.D. became the first Mustang to win a state championship in cross country last November. J.D. plans on attending SUNY Geneseo in the Fall.
