Penn Yan’s Brady Bouchard has been named the America East Conference Pitcher and Rookie of the Week winner.
The freshman at Binghamton University tossed six scoreless innings to beat Elon 7-0 and earn his first collegiate win. Bouchard also allowed just four hits, three singles, and struck out a pair of hitters with one walk without allowing a runner to reach third base. Bouchard is the No. 2 starter for head coach Tim Sinicki and has a 5.40 ERA in two collegiate starts.
He was a three-time first-team all-league and first-team All-State high school player at Penn Yan Academy. Bouchard was the Finger Lakes East Player of Year and Section V Class B Player of Year as a senior last spring.
This is Bouchard’s first career #AEBASE Rookie of the Week honor.
