The Keuka College women’s basketball team wrapped up its 2025-26 season with a 68-58 Empire 8 loss at Elmira College on Tuesday.
Lillian Mullen (Canisteo, N.Y. / Canisteo-Greenwood) led the Wolves (9-15, 4-12 Empire 8) with 19 points, while senior Mary Cotter (Hershey, Pa. / Hershey) added 17 points in her final game for Keuka College.
Early Lead, Elmira Rally
Keuka jumped out to a fast start, taking a 12-7 lead in the first five minutes. Elmira closed the gap to 12-10, but the Wolves went on a 7-0 run to end the quarter up 19-10. The second quarter saw Keuka extend its lead to 25-13 before Elmira closed the half on a 14-5 run to trail 30-27 at intermission.
The Soaring Eagles tied the game early in the third quarter, but Keuka responded with five unanswered points. Elmira then went on a 13-0 run to take a 44-37 lead, holding a seven-point advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
Wolves Fight Back
Keuka stormed back in the final quarter. Emiley Anderson (Gerry, N.Y. / Cassadaga Valley) tied the game at 51-51 with just over six minutes remaining. Brooke Burd (Canisteo, N.Y. / Canisteo-Greenwood) scored a layup to tie the game again, and Mary Cotter hit a three-pointer to give the Wolves a 56-53 lead with 4:34 left. Elmira quickly answered with a three-pointer and maintained control down the stretch, holding Keuka without a field goal after Cotter’s basket, ultimately winning 68-58.

Keuka is now 17-28 all-time against Elmira College.
The Wolves finished with nine overall wins and four in the Empire 8, the program’s highest totals in the Empire 8 era.
Lillian Mullen added five steals and four assists to her 19-point performance on Tuesday.
Brooke Burd concluded the season averaging a double-double, totaling 241 points and 268 rebounds, the fifth-most in a single season in program history.
Mary Cotter hit three triples in the finale, finishing her career with 161 three-pointers — fourth-most in program history — and set a new career high with 293 points this season.
