Two-time Super Bowl-winning coaches, Tom Coughlin and Mike Shanahan have advanced to the next stage of consideration for the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction class.

The selection committees on Thursday cut down the list of candidates and will meet again next month to pick up to three senior candidates among players, coaches, and contributors.

Coughlin, a Waterloo native, coached the New York Giants to Super Bowl victories in the 2007 and 2011 seasons.
