One undefeated local high school football team will not have a chance to score another touchdown this season.

The superintendent of the Clyde-Savannah School District says an investigation is underway into an incident involving several members of the school’s varsity football team. Michael Hayden says that the incident has led to disciplinary actions and as a result, the team’s game on Friday is canceled and its season is over.

In a letter to district parents, Hayden did not go into any specifics of the incident under investigation and said the district takes matters of student behavior seriously.
