Update: NFL Updates Status of Bills-Bengals Game; Family of Demar Hamlin Releases Statement

2:15 p.m. UPDATE: The National Football League announced Tuesday afternoon the Bills-Bengals suspended game from Monday night will not be resumed this week. There is no decision at this time on potentially resuming it at a later date.

Monday night’s Buffalo Bills game was suspended after safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field after making a tackle on a Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver.

After making the tackle, the 24-year-old 6th round pick in the 2021 draft stood up and fell backward onto the field. During the ESPN broadcast, play-by-play announcer Joe Buck noted that CPR was given to Hamlin and his Bills teammates were visibly shaken.

Hamlin was taken by ambulance to a local trauma facility. There has been no update on his condition other than he is listed in critical condition.

At 10 p.m., the NFL announced the game was suspended and would not resume Monday night.
