After spending the last three seasons in New York, Tim Locastro is headed to the West Coast in a chance to extend his baseball career.

Major League Baseball Network’s Jon Morosi reported Wednesday that the Auburn native signed a minor league deal with the San Diego Padres, which includes a non-roster invitation to spring training.

Locastro was traded to the Yankees in 2021 and spent two seasons in Pinstripes. Last season, the 31-year-old signed a minor league deal with the Mets and made it to the Opening Day roster. In 43 games, he batted .232 with two home runs and six stolen bases.
