This weekend kicks of New York’s Free Fishing Days for 2023.
Those 16 and older will be able to fish in the state’s waters without a license on Saturday and Sunday. Kids under 16 can always fish for free.
While you won’t need a license, all other regulations still apply.
2023’s Free Fishing Days are below:
- February 18-19 (President’s Day Weekend)
- June 24-25
- September 23 (National Hunting and Fishing Day)
- November 11 (Veterans Day)
