Earlier this week, New York State announced that 2.25-million dollars would come to the Village of Moravia to revitalize its downtown.
Mayor Gary Mulvaney says the money will be a shot in the arm for the Cayuga County village.
While plans are not set in stone, Mulvaney hopes some of the money will be spent on transforming the former Granny’s Gas Station into a park.
Funding comes from the newly created NY Forward Program which seeks to aid in downtown recovery efforts for smaller and rural communities in the state.
