If you own a Kia or Hyundai, you’ll want to be aware.
Law enforcement throughout the Finger Lakes are seeing a pattern of thefts of these specific vehicle makes.
According to the Syracuse Police Department, 22 stolen Kias and Hyundais have been reported throughout Onondaga County so far this year.
In response, Hyundai has introduced a free anti-theft software update and Kia is offering free steering wheel locks to owners of affected vehicles.
