Cayuga County Solar Company’s Bus Involved in Deadly Crash

Federal and state authorities are investigating a crash involving a small bus and box truck that killed six people in upstate New York near the Canadian border.

The accident happened Saturday morning on Highway 37 in St. Lawrence County in the town of Louisville.

State police say the six people who died and three others that were hurt, were all on the bus.

WWNY-TV reports the bus reportedly belongs to LBFNY, a Cayuga County Solar Energy Company based in Cato. According to the company’s website they have two projects in the nearby Madrid area, which is less than 25 minutes from the crash.

State police and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash.
