Auburn Declares January 9th Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Auburn is showing its gratitude to law enforcement officers.

The city has declared January 9th as National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day in the city.

The proclamation of this day happened at Wednesday’s city council meeting. Police Chief James Slayton spoke at the meeting.

 

The first patrolman was hired in the city in 1858.
